Un Paradis Sur Terre…

An escape to a Tropical Paradise in the South Seas…

Peace…Tranquility…Bliss…This is what you will find in Alegre Beach Resort and Spa, located in the north eastern region of Cebu, in the coastal town of Sogod. The resort is about an hour and half drive from Cebu City, approximately 75 Kilometers from Mactan International Airport.

Upon entering the hugely gated resort, I knew it was going to be a REAL TREAT! Driving along the road with lush tropical gardens everywhere you look, the resort seemed really big. After 5 minutes, we finally got to the Lobby/Reception and was greeted with a huge smile from the bellboy, who helped us unload our bags. A few minutes after checking in, the bellboy took us on a golf cart ride to where the rooms are located. We walked a little bit more upon getting off the cart to get to our room.

Well, all I can say is that it was worth all that travel…

The Heart of a Bodhisattva

A Bodhisattva is a merciful person, one who is constantly for the welfare of all creatures. Where she goes, she never feels frightened. If we can treat others with love and compassion, we will never offend others and will always get along well with others. The value of life lies in what you do, not in what you look like. The image you project does not have any value at all.

Sooner or Later The Moon Will Fade

The last things I want to say, are the last things I want to do.. If the day comes when the stars don't shine.. If the day comes when the oceans evaporate, and all that's left is a vast huge salt bed.. Then I will say the last things I want to say, and do the last things I want to do.. When the heavens cast endless rains and thunderstorms.. When the mountains drop its soil, and let the scorching lavas slide away.. When the trees grow out of their roots, and slowly die of thirst.. When the rivers get clogged with trash, and the water becomes stale.. I will say the last things I want to say, and do the last things I want to do.. If the children don't stop crying.. If the old men can't play cards on the streets.. If the mailman gets shot on the head by mistake.. If the price of rice and gas continue to hike.. If the government ceases to talk of peace.. If the people are too stuck to think.. Then I will say the last things I want to say.. and do the last things I want to do.. So what is the last thing? Hmmm... Go Figure!

Growing Old

A medida que envejecemos, las cosas se complican.

Nos conformamos y el compromiso...
Preferimos vivir en la comodidad de nuestra "vida monotona"...
Tendemos a olvidar lo que es sonar, a asumir riesgos, y divirtirse...
Que albergamos temores en vez de cuestionarlas...
Vamos a la deriva con los deseos de los demas...

Podemos elegir ser feliz y vivir nuestros suenos....
Para ello es mejor tener un derroche de energia en algo emocionante y no....
Que enterrado para siempre en una parcela con sombra...

Nos hacemos mayores...
Nos convertimos en los amos de la vida...
Compartimos la experienca mas dulce y mas duro...
Vivimos para ser completa...
